Cardlink Release Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008 Certified Software

May 2008

Cardlink Systems have successfully redeveloped their core Loyalty, Payment and Fleet Management solutions to support the latest Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and the soon to be released 2008 platform.

"Cardlink continue to offer best of class solutions and this upgrade to the latest database platform is no exception. There are key advantages offered by Microsoft’s new platform which we can leverage to maximise efficiency, include tighter security and extend our solution functionality. "

Cardlink’s software will remain backward compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 until late 2008, however Cardlink will soon be implementing enhancements that take advantage of new features of Microsoft’s latest platforms not supported by the SQL2000 platform.

Key features Cardlink will look to implement include SQL Server’s inbuilt data encryption and compression enhancements. This will not only make information more secure out of the box, but will reduce storage demand, a key issue for our larger clients.
